Today I went out for lunch with a friend, and she had an absolutely amazing idea that I just had to share! We were talking about how running is sometimes a struggle – especially when confined to a treadmill at the gym because of the subzero temperatures and icy sidewalks outside – and she mentioned something along the lines of wouldn’t it be great if there would be a place where runners could share their prayer intentions for a specific run, to offer up that run for a specific request? Thinking, um, oh my gosh, this is a great idea, we ran with it (did you catch my play on words there?) and thought it would be fun to start some sort of a Facebook group or something via a social media network where runners could come together and post their prayer requests to make that run more meaningful and bearable.
So…if any of you are runners or if you know any runners that might be interested in joining some sort of a prayer network, let me know (you can comment on this post or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org) as we are hoping to start something in the very near future!
In the meantime I hope you are all having a fabulous day, and I will leave you with a song that this post made me think of. I was unable to find a Youtube video for it, but if you have a Spotify account, you should be able to listen to Izzi Ray’s song called “Running” by clicking this link.
It’s hard to believe there are just 3 days left in Jen’s 7 posts, 7 days challenge, so be sure to check out some of the other blogs that also linked up there! 🙂
